Billy is a storyteller drawn toward authenticity and realism told through a compelling visual style. His passion for authenticity translates to a directorial approach that focuses on documentary freedom for his actors and talents. He believes in interpreting those stories into emotional, energetic, and cinematic imagery.
His background in the financial industry with a focus on sales and business gives him valuable insight into his client’s operations and marketing needs.
Based in Austin, TX, yet born and raised in Honduras until 1991, Billy is fluent in Spanish, English, and speaks enough German to get him out of/into trouble. Billy along with his wife, Keely, and three children love hiking Austin’s beautiful trails, swimming and family game nights.
JD Macias
Cinematographer
JD’s career started with comedy sketches with pals and a handycam. His interests led him to film school in Los Angeles. On the advice of his professor, JD traded-in film school for the invaluable experience of working on film and large commercial sets in Los Angeles. A naturally curious and dedicated student of cinema, JD learned his craft not only in various positions on set, but also as an editor and colorist.
He quickly worked his way up, eventually finding his calling as a DoP. His freelancing led him to work on high-profile projects throughout the US until finding his home in Austin, TX and joining the Corte Team.
JD is brilliant with lighting, color and composition. His vision and talents translate into captivating imagery for the viewer.
Keely Cano
Casting, Design
Having worked for nearly 10 years on countless commercial sets, Keely brings plenty of experience to the table.
Keely is naturally a very logical, task based, and organized person. These skills, combined with her vast experience as talent on set give her a great eye for finding and casting talent. Her keen eye for wardrobe and set design bring our projects to life.
Keely is an avid fitness enthusiast, reader, and busy mother to three children.
Steven buehler
Associate Producer
Steven’s past work is mostly in music and not video but who knows maybe he’ll be useful for your project. Most of his personality comes from his unique (and frankly absurd) hair.
He is the only one in his family who has it, so he continues searching for his real parents to this day. Steven was a great addition until he wrote this ridiculous bio. It was the last straw.
